Vietnam is almost universally accepted as being the most unpopular war America has ever fought, but there was always one place where it was popular: Hollywood. When most of us think of the war in Vietnam, our minds inevitably drift to scenes from movies like Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, Apocalypse Now, We Were Soldiers, etc. Hollywood's popularization of Vietnam have made the weapons of the era quite iconic.
